Account deletion is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to:
- Your profile and personal information
- Booking history and trip records
- Saved locations and preferences
- Any account credits or balances

Method 1: Delete Account from the App
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open Kannu Customer App
Launch the app on your mobile device
- Go to Profile Section
Tap on the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar
- Access Settings
Look for Settings or Account Settings option
- Find Delete Account Option
Scroll down to find "Delete Account" or "Remove Account"
- Confirm Your Decision
Read the warning message carefully
Tap "Delete Account" or "Confirm Deletion"
- Verify Identity
You may need to enter your password or verify via OTP
- Final Confirmation
Confirm one last time to permanently delete your account
Processing Time: Account deletion is typically processed within 24-48 hours.
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, follow these steps:

- Compose an Email
Send an email to: support@kannu.com
- Subject Line
Use: "Account Deletion Request - Kannu Customer"
- Include Required Information
- Your full name (as registered)
- Registered phone number
- Reason for deletion (optional)
- Confirmation statement: "I request permanent deletion of my Kannu Customer account"
- Send from Registered Email
If possible, send from the email associated with your account
Response Time: We will confirm receipt within 24 hours and complete deletion within 7 business days.
What Data Gets Deleted?
✅ Data That Will Be Deleted:
- Personal Information: Name, phone number, email, profile details
- Account Credentials: Login information and authentication data
- Location Data: Saved addresses and recent location history
- Preferences: App settings and saved preferences
- Most Trip History: General booking records (see exceptions below)
- Communication Records: In-app messages and notifications

- Legal Compliance: Data required by law or for pending legal matters

Retention Period After Deletion Request
Timeline:
- 0-30 Days: Grace period where data is marked for deletion but recoverable if you change your mind
- 30-90 Days: Most personal data is permanently deleted from active systems
- 90+ Days: Data removed from backups (except legally required records)

- You can return anytime

- Revoke location permissions in device settings
- Disable notifications

After Account Deletion
What Happens Next:
- Immediate: You will be logged out of the app
- 24 Hours: Account becomes inaccessible
- 7 Days: Personal data removed from active systems
- 30 Days: Most data permanently deleted
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming deletion
Can I Recover My Account?
- Within 30 Days: Contact support immediately - recovery may be possible
- After 30 Days: Account recovery is not possible
- Create New Account: You can register again with the same phone number after deletion
